David is a Spanish composer originally from Baeza (Jaén). He studied musical composition at the conservatoires of Seville, Oslo and Milan. His music explores the intersections between perception, memory and language and his research is focused on the creative involvement of the performer in musical composition. In 2023, he was awarded first prize in the 22nd edition of the ‘Premi Internacional Joan Guinjoan per a Joves Compositors’, organised by Esmuc in Barcelona. He is currently continuing his artistic research by attending the Master’s Degree in Applied Musicology at the University of La Rioja and the MUSART Doctoral Programme at the Conservatories of Milan and Florence.
